My name is Barbara Blatchley. I love the Cotswold hills and valleys that I live in. It is my delight to share these things I love, to tell you of the history and local customs, and make you feel a part of it Before Christopher Columbus sailed to seek the gold and spices of the east there was a Market Hall in Painswick supported by stone pillars. When William Shakespeare wrote and performed plays for his fair Queen Elizabeth Gloucestershire stone masons turned the Market Hall into one of the most beautiful houses in the town. Two of the Market Pillars dating from 1400 are now part of the dining room wall.

Now, the house is my home and it is my delight to share it with you to enjoy the atmosphere of over 500 years.
